Kinorium API: IDs, ratings and movie data

kinodata serves movie and series data by Kinorium ID. One ID gets you the same title's IDs on IMDb, Kinopoisk and TMDB, the Kinorium rating and votes next to the other catalogs' ratings, and a card in English and Russian. It's plain REST with JSON responses and one key for every request.

kinodata is an independent service. It isn't the official Kinorium API and isn't affiliated with Kinorium.

Kinorium IDs to IMDb, Kinopoisk and TMDB

One request by Kinorium ID returns the title's IDs in every catalog. Here it's Inception, 472809:

It works both ways: kinorium_id is in the response to a request by any other catalog's ID. More in IDs across catalogs.

The best films by Kinorium rating

The Kinorium rating is the rating_kr field, and the catalog sorts and filters by it. The three films with the best rating among those with over 20,000 Kinorium votes:

The card's ratings block brings together Kinorium, Kinopoisk, IMDb, TMDB, Letterboxd, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, each with its votes and a link to the title's page:

Tags, quotes and facts

Kinorium brings mood tags, keywords and subgenres, as well as quotes and facts in Russian. The tags also work as a catalog filter. /texts serves the quotes and facts, and the card's tags block the tags.

Is this the official Kinorium API?

No. kinodata is an independent service, not affiliated with Kinorium. We link one title's IDs across catalogs and gather its data into one card.

How much does it cost?

The Free plan gives 500 requests a day and 10 a second, no card needed. Basic and Business give more; see Pricing.

How do I find a film without its Kinorium ID?

Search by title: /v1.3/titles?q=inception. Search forgives typos and finds a title by its name in another language. The response has the Kinorium ID and the other catalogs' IDs.
