TMDB API: TMDB IDs to IMDb, Kinopoisk and Kinorium

kinodata links a TMDB ID to the same title's IDs on IMDb, Kinopoisk and Kinorium, and serves the movie or series card in English and Russian. It's plain REST with JSON responses and one key for every request.

kinodata is an independent service. It isn't the official TMDB API and isn't affiliated with The Movie Database.

TMDB IDs to IMDb, Kinopoisk and Kinorium

One request by a TMDB movie ID returns the title's IDs in every catalog. Here it's Inception, 27205:

curl -H "X-API-Key: $KINODATA_KEY" \
  "https://api.kinodata.space/v1.3/ids/tmdb/27205"
Response200
{
  "imdb_id": "tt1375666",
  "kp_id": "447301",
  "tmdb_id": "27205",
  "tmdb_tv_id": null,
  "kinorium_id": "472809"
}

Movies and series have separate IDs

TMDB numbers movies and series separately: movie 27205 and series 27205 are different titles. So the API has two ID types: tmdb for movies and tmdb_tv for series. Here it's Breaking Bad:

curl -H "X-API-Key: $KINODATA_KEY" \
  "https://api.kinodata.space/v1.3/ids/tmdb_tv/1396"
Response200
{
  "imdb_id": "tt0903747",
  "kp_id": "404900",
  "tmdb_id": null,
  "tmdb_tv_id": "1396",
  "kinorium_id": "400796"
}

Exactly one of tmdb_id and tmdb_tv_id is filled in, and it tells you whether the title is a film or a series. More in IDs across catalogs.

The card by TMDB ID

The same ID opens the card: titles, overview, genres, countries, TMDB, IMDb and Kinopoisk ratings, cast, posters and stills, seasons and episodes.

curl -G -H "X-API-Key: $KINODATA_KEY" \
  --data-urlencode "fields=title,type,synopsis" \
  --data-urlencode "lang=en" \
  "https://api.kinodata.space/v1.3/titles/tmdb/27205"

Every field is in the title card reference.
